Go Pokémon Go is the first actual ending theme for the English dub of the Pokémon anime. Before Go Pokémon Go, ending themes for the English dub were shortened versions of the opening themes.

It had actually debuted as an opening theme in the original airing of the dub of the special The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon. It was later used as the ending theme of the redubbed version of the same special, and a slightly shorter version was used as the ending theme of the English dub of the main series from Fear Factor Phony to Home Is Where the Start Is. The song also appears on the Pokémon X audio CD.
