A Pokémon Day is an annual event that takes place in Italy. It is organized by Nintendo and held at the Mirabilandia amusement park, near Rimini. Every Pokémon Day is two or more days long. During each Pokémon Day, Event Pokémon or items are given away. A similar event is held in the Netherlands and Germany every year.
Pokémon Day 2005
The first Pokémon Day was held last July 2 and 3, 2005.
While no event Pokémon was distributed, the event item Eon Ticket was given via Mystery Gift. There were also some free TCG cards: Charmander from EX RossoFuoco & VerdeFoglia and Farfetch'd from EX Smeraldo, among with other gifts like t-shirts and stickers.
There was a mini Game Boy Advance tournament and a TCG tournament that allowed the winners to go directly to the finals in Italy. Two POP 1 packs were given to all the participants.
Pokémon Day 2006

The second Pokémon Day was from June 23 to 25, 2006. Similar to other European countries, ten event Pokémon were distributed:
Pokémon Day 2007
In 2007, the event was held from July 7 to 8.
The event Pokémon Mew was distributed during the event. The movie Lucario e il Mistero di Mew was also shown for the first time. The visitors were also allowed to try the demo version of Pokémon Diamante and Perla that was released in Italy three weeks later.
As usually there was Pokémon Trading Card Game tournaments and tournaments for the new Pokémon Trading Figure Game.
Pokémon Day 2008
During this edition, Shaymin was distributed and the twelfth movie was aired.
Pokémon Day 2009
In 2009, the event was held from July 18 to 19. The movie Giratina and the Sky Warrior was shown as well.
The event Pokémon Regigigas was distributed during the event. Video game and TCG tournaments were also held.
