The [[VIZ Media]] release omits the first four rounds from the volume. This is because the company had not started releasing the {{chap|HeartGold & SoulSilver}} at the time of the release. Similar splits were done with {{PAV|14}} and {{PAV|15}}, where the last round of the {{chap|Gold, Silver & Crystal}} were moved from the beginning of Volume 15 to the end of Volume 14, and later with {{PAV|22}} and {{PAV|23}}, where the first two rounds of the {{chap|FireRed & LeafGreen}} were moved to Volume 23.

The first four rounds have also been omitted from the {{pmin|Brazil}}ian translation, as the {{chap|HeartGold & SoulSilver}} is not yet available in Brazilian Portuguese at this time.<!--presumably the German version too-->

The VIZ Media release omits the first four rounds from the volume. This is because the company had not started releasing the HeartGold & SoulSilver arc at the time of the release. Similar splits were done with Volume 14 and Volume 15, where the last round of the Gold, Silver & Crystal arc were moved from the beginning of Volume 15 to the end of Volume 14, and later with Volume 22 and Volume 23, where the first two rounds of the FireRed & LeafGreen arc were moved to Volume 23.

The first four rounds have also been omitted from the Brazilian translation, as the HeartGold & SoulSilver arc is not yet available in Brazilian Portuguese at this time.
