Although it is unknown why they decided to release a second series (most likely to catch up with the series quicker), the reason behind why they are calling the {{chap|Diamond & Pearl}} "Diamond, Pearl and Platinum" (unlike in Japan, where D/P and Platinum are two separate chapters entirely) is most likely due to the fact that there is another Pokémon manga released by VIZ Media entitled [[Pokémon Diamond and Pearl Adventure!]], which may have caused confusion if they had titled the second series "Pokémon Adventures: Diamond & Pearl". | |||

Volume 30 is the thirtieth volume of the Pokémon Adventures manga authored by 日下秀憲 Hidenori Kusaka and illustrated by 山本サトシ Satoshi Yamamoto. It is the first volume in the Diamond & Pearl arc.
In VIZ Media's translation, this volume is published as volume one of a separately numbered series, "Pokémon Adventures: Diamond and Pearl/Platinum".
