*Compared to previous Special characters in the Viz Kids translation, Crys' is one who had the least amount of changes between her Viz and Chuang nicknames. Four of them remained the ''exact'' same: Chumee, Parasee, Natee (becomes Xatee later in Chuang Yi's translation upon evolution to a Xatu), and Bonee. The remaining members of Crys' teams only had slight changes compared to their Chuang Yi nicknames: Mega became Megaree and Arckee became Archy; which is most likely just a different spelling of the Chuang Yi name. The only one that really changed any was Hitmonee into Monlee, and it was more of a shortening of Chuang Yi nickname and adding an L to it.

Trivia

  • Satoshi Yamamoto takes over as the artist for Pokémon Adventures in this volume.
  • Compared to previous Special characters in the Viz Kids translation, Crys' is one who had the least amount of changes between her Viz and Chuang nicknames. Four of them remained the exact same: Chumee, Parasee, Natee (becomes Xatee later in Chuang Yi's translation upon evolution to a Xatu), and Bonee.

Errors

VizKids Edition

  • In one panel Crys' Megaree is mistakenly referred to as "Mega", which is ironically its Chuang Yi nickname.
  • On page 65, Crystal calla Quick Balls "Speed Balls". (ironically Chuang Yi's translation also made this exact same error)
  • On page 107 there is a slight grammatical error, Claire mistakenly says "I shall make you mine own!" instead of 'I shall make you my own!"
  • On page 153 Crys mistakenly refers to an "Electric Attack" as a "Shock Attack".
