A Poké Fan (Japanese: だいすきクラブ Lovers Club), formatted as Pokéfan prior to Pokémon X and Y, is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation II games. They come in two varieties: Middle-aged women with Poké Dolls (prior to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire) or a Pokémon magazineORAS, and middle-aged men with small children dressed in Pikachu, Pichu, or Pancham outfits (prior to Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire) or a bag of Pokémon themed merchandiseORAS. Trainers of this class are members of the Pokémon Fan Club.

In Double Battles, two Poké Fans paired together are called a Poké Fan Family.

They raise many different cute Pokémon that usually belong to the Fairy Egg Group. The Pokémon of Poké Fans are notable for always holding a Berry or Oran Berry, depending on the game. In Generation V and Generation VI games, they may use Hyper Potions and Full Restores on injured Pokémon during battle.

Reason: Missing information about appearance in PS466

In Danger: High Voltorb, a group of Poké Fans congregate in the Pokémon Fan Club headquarters to talk about their favorite Pokémon and to read their own magazine.

In The Last Battle XIII, a male and female Poké Fan appeared as two of the Trainers that lent their Pokémon for the final battle against the Masked Man.

Later, in Deprogramming Porygon-Z, a female Poké Fan entered the Battle Castle with her Bonsly.

A male Poké Fan appeared with his son and Inkay walking in Santalune City in Kangaskhan...Kangascan't. Another male Poké Fan without a son walks past Shauna after she ran off from the others for easily trusting Viola.

Pokémon

Here is a listing of the Poké Fan's Pokémon in the Platinum arc:

Pokéfan's Bonsly
Bonsly
Bonsly briefly appeared with its Trainer when they were going to the Battle Castle.

None of Bonsly's moves are known.

Trivia

  • In all of the games, the species of the dolls accompanying the female Poké Fan sprite shown changes (progressing with Clefairy, Wailmer, Bonsly, Sewaddle, Flabébé, Banette, Skitty, and Pancham), but until Pokémon X and Y, the male Poké Fan sprite has always been shown holding a child in a Pikachu or Pichu costume, as well as the Pokémon's icon imprinted onto their T-shirts.
  • Because the female Poké Fan sprite remains the same between Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum and HeartGold and SoulSilver, they are shown to have Bonsly dolls in a region where Sudowoodo appears only once (and is apparently not well-known) and where Bonsly does not appear in the regional Pokédex.
