Poison Touch (Japanese: どくしゅ Underhanded) is an Ability introduced in Generation V. Five Pokémon can have this Ability, all but one of which are Template:Type2 Pokémon.


In battle

The contact-based attacks from a Pokémon with Poison Touch have a 30% chance of poisoning the target.

Outside of battle

Poison Touch has no effect outside of battle.

  • This ability appears to be the inverse of Poison Point, an ability introduced in Generation III.
  • Seismitoad is the only Generation V Pokémon to have this ability.
    • Also, Seismitoad is the only non-Template:Type2 Pokémon to have Poison Touch as an Ability.
      • Coincidentally, Seismitoad is the only one who can have the Ability that does not have it as a Hidden Ability.
