Release information

This card was reprinted in the Base Set 2 reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan. It was also reprinted with new artwork in Diamond & Pearl, Secret Wonders and Platinum. The later print was reworded as follows: Template:Trainer Text There's a key difference between the two prints: the original print applied the effect after applying Weakness and Resistance, while the later print applied the effect before applying Weakness and Resistance.

Origin

PlusPower is the Japanese name of X Attack, an item in the Pokémon games. The Japanese name of the item was either used for the English card by mistake, or used intentionally as 'PlusPower' is inscribed on the side of the object in the card's artwork.
