Pikachu (Japanese: ピカチュウ) is a main character in the manga series Magical Pokémon Journey and its sequel, Pokémon Chamo-Chamo ☆ Pretty ♪.

Pikachu is scatterbrained and easily confused. He is one of the few Pokémon in the Magical Pokémon Journey canon which cannot speak human language, though the other characters seem to be able to understand him.

He is close to Clefairy and is rarely seen without him. He is also very loyal to Hazel. When he thought Hazel had died in The Legendary Articuno, he traveled up a treacherous mountain to try to bring her back to life. He was also upset in Valentine Heartbeats when he thought that Hazel no longer wanted to be friends with him.

Like Clefairy, Pikachu does not appear to be too bright - he is unable to solve simple math problems presented by Coconut's Eevee and fails all of Almond's manliness tests.

  • Pikachu's inability to speak human language in a world where other Pokémon can is similar to another Pikachu, Red's Pikachu.
