This card was released in the English Jungle expansion, originating from the Japanese Pokémon Jungle expansion. A special W Wizards stamped version of this card was released in the September 1999 issue of The Duelist Magazine. The Jungle print was later reprinted in the English Legendary Collection expansion.

Trivia

With Electrode, this was the first Pokémon to appear in more than one extension (both being featured in the Base Set as well).

Origin

Spark is a move later introduced in the Generation II Pokémon games that Pikachu could not learn until Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded.
