Release information

This card was reprinted in the Legendary Collection reprint set, which was only released outside of Japan.

Contrary to what some believe, the Pikachu card in POP Series 4 is not considered a reprint of this card despite many similarities. A key difference is in the attack costs: this card's attack cost is LightningLightning, while the POP 4 Pikachu's attack cost is LightningColorless.

Trivia

Spark later appeared as a move in Generation II.

Origin

This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, though it is slightly reworded.
