Pikachu (Japanese: ピカチュウ Pikachu) is a Lightning-type Basic Pokémon card. It is one of the HGSS Black Star Promos.

Card text

Flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a Lightning Energy card and attach it to Pikachu. Shuffle your deck afterward.
Discard all Energy attached to Pikachu.

Release Information

This card was released as one of two promotional cards, alongside Wobbuffet, available in the HeartGold & SoulSilver Three Pack Blister. In Japan, it was available as a Gold Point prize through the Pokémon Daisuki Club's Action Point system, which replaced the Pokémon Fan Club and its EXP Point system in May 2008. It was also distributed alongside the Pokémon Card Game gold rank gift card in October 2009.



Thunderbolt is a move in the Pokémon games that Pikachu can learn. Recharge's Japanese name is that of Charge, a move in the Pokémon games that Pikachu can learn via breeding. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Platinum.
