Trivia

Origin

Its color scheme, Steel typing, and humanoid appearance may be a reference to Metal Man, a Robot Master from the second installment of the Mega Man Classic Series. It also looks similar to a knight and may be based on Arthurian legends of black knights. It may also have gained origin from the Kaijin style of Japanese monster movies, involving a humanoid creature that acts as a villain. It also bears a resemblance to Kamen Rider, a superhero in a weekly sci-fi television series.

Name origin

Its name is likely a combination of 細切れ komagire, small pieces, and 小刀 kogatana, short sword.
