Parting Shot (Japanese: すてゼリフ Parting Shot) is a non-damaging Dark-type move introduced in Generation VI. Prior to Generation VII, it was the signature move of Pancham and Pangoro.

Effect

Parting Shot lowers the target's Attack and Special Attack stats by one stage each, and then switches the user out. Pokémon with the Ability Soundproof are not affected by this move.

The user will not switch out if Parting Shot fails (such as if it has no target), if the target is immune due to Soundproof, or if it is blocked by a protection move. However, the user will switch even if the target does not have its stats lowered, such as if the target has the Ability Clear Body or is protected by Mist. The user will not be switched out if it is a wild Pokémon or its Trainer has no Pokémon to switch in.

If Parting Shot is used on a Pokémon with the Ability Magic Bounce, the effect will be bounced back to the user, lowering its Attack and Special Attack, and the target will switch out instead.

If an opponent uses Pursuit on the same turn Parting Shot is used, Pursuit will deal normal damage if the foe is faster, or double damage if the foe is slower than the user.

If powered up by a Darkinium Z into Z-Parting Shot, the Pokémon sent out to replace the user has its HP fully restored.
