==Plot==
In western Pewter City, a group of angry people pursue a wild Pikachu that steals and eats their produce; however, every time they corner it, the Mouse Pokémon escapes using its electricity. Trying to help the business people, Red enters into the action and chooses Bulbasaur to defeat the trouble-maker, only one {{m|PoisonPowder}} is necessary to capture it. After a talk with the citizens, Red tries to befriend Pikachu but is rejected. Green shows up and makes fun of him, and he challenges Red to try to be the first to defeat the leader of that city, Brock, to win the precious {{Badge|Boulder}}. Red accepts and visits the [[Pokémon Center]] to prepare himself to the big battle ahead, but he finds the Center closed for damages, and the only Pokémon he has with full energy is ... Pikachu.
