Even an Arbok Falls in Love! (Japanese: アーボックの初恋物語, The Story of Arbok's First Love) is the sixth chapter of the second volume of Magical Pokémon Journey.

Synopsis

Hazel and the Pokémon run into Arbok, who is acting very shy and nervous, not like his usual self. Hazel quickly notices that he is lovesick, which Arbok and the Ekans Brothers confirm as true. The Ekans Brothers explain to the Pokémon that Arbok has a crush on Wigglytuff and that he wants to be introduced to her.

Hazel, Coconut and the Pokémon take Arbok to Jynx, a fortune teller. Jynx determines that Arbok does have a chance with Wigglytuff, but he has to overcome his shyness and introduce himself to her.

Next, the group goes to Jigglypuff for advice. She suggests giving Wigglytuff a birthday gift, as her birthday is in three days; however, their family is very rich and Wigglytuff already has many nice things. Arbok decides to give a sentimental gift: a statue of roses. The group, including Almond, decide to help him build the statue. They build a Wigglytuff-shaped frame so that all Arbok needs to do is put roses on it.

Arbok completes the rose statue and presents it to Wigglytuff. Wigglytuff likes the gift, and Arbok brings up the courage to ask Wigglytuff to be his friend. Wigglytuff agrees and they become friends. Wigglytuff asks if she can have Arbok's skin the next time he moults, and Arbok is overjoyed.
