Charmander's Peanut (Japanese: ヒトカゲくんとピースくん, Hitokage-kun and Peanut-kun) is the fifth chapter of the second volume of Magical Pokémon Journey.

Plot

The Pokémon are playing in a field when an aggressive Charmander approaches them. He is accompanied by his Trainer, Peanut, a shy and sickly boy who is new in town. Charmander explains that they are headed for the Tree of Strength and insists that the Pokémon accompany them.

The group climb the mountain, dodging various perils such as falling rocks and a wild Victreebel, when suddenly it begins to rain. Peanut risks his health to protect Charmander's flame from going out, and the other Pokémon help as well by gathering leaves and things to help shelter the both of them from the rain.

After the rainstorm, they return to Hazel and Almond in the field, soaking wet. When Hazel asks where they were, they reply that they were headed for Tree Mountain, which turns out to be much closer than they thought it was.
