Christmas Night (Japanese: クリスマスであそぼ! Let's Play in Christmas!) is the 22nd episode of of Pokémon Chronicles. It is the first Pikachu's Winter Vacation episode and was first broadcast in Japan on December 22, 1998, in the UK on October 5, 2005, and in the USA on November 25, 2006.

Trivia

• Christmas Night is also the Japanese title of a similar episode.
• Though it didn't air outside of Japan for several years after the first broadcast, it was released on the first Pikachu's Winter Vacation VHS much earlier.
• The dubbed VHS release of this special contains the Japanese opening theme as a bonus feature.
• Mametchi (not a Pokemon but a Tamagotchi) gave the same music box that debuted in this episode (which he called it a "Surprise Box") to Gilbert the Talking Meganium and Gilbert notices that it's sick. After Christmas, Gilbert keeps the music box hidden in a safe place where no-one can get to it until around Christmas.
• This music box plays a Pokemon-exclusive Christmas song that contains the first 13 music notes of Kanto Route 1 and more notes that it created. It will play the non-music box version of the song when it's near a Christmas tree (which does not work when the tree is down). The music box also has counterpart with the same look, and the same tree, but it plays the music box version of the Mutsu-exclusive Christmas song from "Mutsu to Nohohon", a Japan-exclusive Mutsu Gamecube game. It'll play the normal version of that song when it is placed on top of a Christmas tree. It is also hidden by Gilbert until around Christmas.
