Outbreak

Outbreaks are instances when Pokémon rare or nonexistent in a certain area become more common than usual. They first occured in Pokémon Gold and Silver, when certain trainers would, if registered, call on the PokéGear to tell about an outbreak. They occur randomly after beating the Elite Four in Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, and Pokémon Emerald. The player character is alerted through a Pokémon News broadcast. Some outbreak Pokémon are Seedot, Skitty, Surskit.
