Mud Sport (Japanese: どろあそび Mud Game) is a non-damaging Ground-type move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

Mud Sport reduces the damage of Electric-type moves by 50% on both sides in battle. The effects last until the user switches out.

Generation V

Mud Sport now reduces the damage of Electric-type moves by 33% on both sides in battle.

  • Many Pokémon that are part Ground-type can learn Mud Sport through leveling up despite already being immune to Electric attacks. This move is only useful for them in Double Battles, which were introduced in the same Generation.
