Mt. Thunder (Japanese: ライメイの やま Mt. Thunder) is the sixth dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team and the first to feature a boss fight with a Legendary Pokémon (Zapdos). As its name implies, the dungeon is inside a mountain where many of the native Pokémon are Electric-type.

After floor 10, the player is given an option to save and heal before continuing on to Mt. Thunder Peak, which takes place on the outside of the mountain, which is craggy and populated by powerful Pokémon such as Electabuzz. There is no chance of finding a monster house, a shop, or a buried item in this dungeon.

Zapdos is level 45 when recruited.

Mt. Thunder in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team

In the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Ginji's Rescue Team manga

Ginji and Mudkip passed through Mt. Thunder in I Want to be Human Again! on their way to meet Xatu at the Hill of the Ancients. On their way, they encountered Zapdos, who attacked them. At first, they were unable to deal practically any damage on the Legendary bird Pokémon, but eventually Mudkip, encouraged by Ginji, used Mud Sport to protect Ginji from Zapdos's Electric attacks so that he was able to defeat it with a close-range Flamethrower.
