Pokémon world locations

Mt. Mortar is a large cave in Johto connecting Ecruteak City and Mahogany Town. It is an optional cave to enter, but contains many valuable items and Pokémon. Also, the Karate King trains there, and if the player finds and defeats him in a battle, he will give them a Tyrogue.

Layout

Mt. Mortar has three entrances and is huge inside; one of the biggest of all caves. It's high Pokémon-encouter rate makes getting lost very costly. It has Surfing rivers, waterfalls, Strength puzzles, and multiple levels. It is usually considered to be one of the toughest caves to navigate. The Karate King is located at the very bottom of the cave, at the farthest point from an entrance.
