In Japan, this card is part of Series 1 from the Vending Machine card collection. The card was never released in English.
This card was first released as part of the {{TCG|Extended Sheet 1}} of the Vending Machine cards with artwork by [[Kasumi Matsuda]], one of the winners of the {{DL|Illustration contests|Pokémon Card Game Illust Artist Contest}}. It was the first [[CoroCoro]] illustration contest, announced in the November 1997 issue of CoroCoro Comic released October 15, 1997. Winners were announced in the January 1998 issue, with three top winners receiving 20 copies of the card using their illustration and the {{TCG ID|CoroCoro|Pokémon Illustrator|promo}} card. It was later reprinted in the Green Deck of the {{TCG|Quick Starter Gift Set}}.

Release information

This card was first released as part of the Extended Sheet 1 of the Vending Machine cards with artwork by Kasumi Matsuda, one of the winners of the Pokémon Card Game Illust Artist Contest. It was the first CoroCoro illustration contest, announced in the November 1997 issue of CoroCoro Comic released October 15, 1997. Winners were announced in the January 1998 issue, with three top winners receiving 20 copies of the card using their illustration and the Pokémon Illustrator card. It was later reprinted in the Green Deck of the Quick Starter Gift Set.
