All of the Pokémon featured in the collection are based around their roles in the film. Of particular note are the Spiky-Eared Pichu and the legendary Pokémon Arceus, both of which have three versions and special holographic foil treatments. The seven basic Energy cards are also part of the set, and all feature new artwork.

As with all previous Japanese TCG movie promo sets, the collection features Owner's Pokémon. No other movie-related Owner's Pokémon have been released outside of Japan; however, with changes brought about in Platinum, these cards were released as another type of Pokémon SP: Pokémon M, classed as "Movie's Pokémon". As the West has already adopted the Pokémon SP mechanic, it is possible that they may see translation, although Nintendo has seemed to be reluctant to do this in the past.

The Movie Commemoration Random Pack (Japanese: 映画公開記念ランダムパック Movie Commemoration Random Pack) is a special card collection for the Pokémon Trading Card Game and was released in conjunction with the Japanese screening of Arceus: To a Conquering Spacetime.

Information

Instead of producing a 9-card promo set or half deck as with past releases, this collection was available through booster packs in the same manner as regular expansion releases, emphasized by the "random" in the collection name.

Trivia

 • All of the cards have the Arceus: To a Conquering Spacetime logo on them.
 • The "Pokémon M" on the Pokémon M cards is a stylized Pikachu tail, a reference to the Pikachu Project, which provides the majority of card illustrations in the set.
 • Though Ash has previously been an owner of several TCG Pokémon, this is the first set in which his Pikachu appears.
