The Mountain Patrol is an anime-exclusive organization. They reside near Ecruteak City. They use their Pokémon to help those in danger; they can be seen as the precursor to Pokémon Rangers. Their only appearance to date is in Mountain Time. It is revealed that when one's Ledian's backspots glow red, the Ledian and its Trainer are ready to become officers.

| Benji's Ledian is part of mountain patrol helping people stranded in the mountains. It is smaller than other Ledian. Ledian first appeared when Ash and Pikachu saw it and chased after it. It suddenly got into strong winds, caused by Benji's father's Pidgeotto and failed to get through them, which was shown to be part of a training. It then appeared in Benji's father's cabin whilst Benji's father's Ledian was giving it tips. Ledian then started training again.
Suddenly, Team Rocket appeared with their new vacuum device, sucking in Pikachu and Togepi. Ledian tried to save them but it was blown back. Benji and the gang decided to save them, but suddenly a load of rocks blocked their way, so they had to use a rope ladder. Suddenly, the rope broke, but with the help of Ash's Noctowl they were able to bring theirselves to safety. Ledian decided to go look for Team Rocket and the lost Pokémon and eventually found them balancing on a rock. Ash's Bulbasaur couldn't reach them with Vine Whip, so Ledian decided to step in. Benji took a net and rope out, which he tied around a rock and Ledian was able to successfully save the group. Suddenly, Team Rocket bagged Togepi and Pikachu once again and Ledian tried to help. It was too exhausted, however. In the end, Ledian and Benji's father's Ledian sent Team Rocket blasting off with Swift. That night when the stars started to appear, the spots on Ledian's back began to glow and it flew in the sky with Benji's father's Ledian, sprinkling dust. When a Ledian's spots glow, it means that Ledian is well trained and so, Benji got the job as mountain officer from his father. Ledian's known moves are Swift and Comet Punch*. | ||

| Benji's father trains Ledian for mountain patrol, helping people stranded in the mountains. It was first seen watching Benji's Ledian, noticeably smaller than this Ledian, training using Benji's father's Pidgeotto. It was then seen as Benji's Ledian's mentor in the cabin. It later sent Team Rocket blasting off with Swift. When night fell, it sprinkled dust everywhere with Benji's Ledian.

| Benji's Pidgeotto is part of a mountain patrol, helping people stranded in the mountains. It was first seen helping to train Benji's Ledian, creating strong winds like those in the mountains. It then appeared in the cabin afterwards. When Team Rocket had stolen Ash's Pikachu and Misty's Togepi it blew James's Weezing's SmokeScreen away and it is able to faint James's Pokémon with a Gust.
