I know for a fact it is true, and i am making a video of it for emerald. It will be done in two months at the most. Whst you have to do is go there on flight 99 and talk to the old man. He will ask you how you feel about going to space, and if you say you would like to you get on the rocket and travel to the moon. Then there will be three diferent "levels" and it will be on the last one, level 70. Like I said stay tuned for the video. (I just have to beat the elite four, then wait for the rocket numbers to go up.)

The Mossdeep Space Center as depicted in Ruby and Sapphire

The Mossdeep Space Center is located in Mossdeep City. This destination was chosen because of Mossdeep's ideal weather, being clear and sunny and with stable wind levels. The Space Center is successfully sending rockets into space though its not known where the rockets go or who rides them. In Mossdeep, there is a white rock which holds a special meaning to the people at the space center. They placed the rock outside of the space center as their wish for their rockets to fly safely.

Many scientists work here and are dedicated to the rocket launches success. The Space Center contains many blueprints of rocket, machines and computers. The Space Center has two accessible floors. The Mossdeep Space Center has little storyline in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, while in Pokémon Emerald, it plays a bigger part in the storyline.

In the game, a man by the window will reveal the number of successful launches there have been. Also, a person in the Space Center will give you a Sun Stone.

In Emerald

The Space Center in Mossdeep plays a big role in Pokémon Emerald as Team Magma tries to obtain the rocket fuel to use to make Mt. Chimney erupt. In Pokémon Emerald, Team Magma had sent a letter the Space Center, informing them that they will take the rocket fuel. After defeating the Mossdeep Gym, the player must enter the Space Center and defeat all the Team Magma grunts on the first floor in order to go to the second floor. On the second floor, the player meets up with Steven Stone here and pairs up with him to double battle against Team Magma.

The Space Center in anime

In AG099, Ash and co. visit the Space Center in search of the Mossdeep gym leader, Liza and Tate. But they find that a rocket is about to launch. Meanwhile Team Rocket try to steal a rocket from the Space Center, but their plan is stopped by the help of Liza and Tate.

In the anime, the Space Center contains many machines and training machines for astronauts to use such as a moon walker for practice walking on the moon in zero gravity and the MAT (multi-axis trainer) that spins people around.

Rumors

In the game, a man by the window will reveal the number of successful launches there have been; the number is determined by the number of weeks since the saved game was begun. Many rumours have been spread about this number and its relation to Jirachi and Deoxys. Many believed that if the man reached a certain number, the player will be able to ride a rocket into space and battle Jirachi. But, like the truck rumours of Generation I, all rumors are false.

Launches

Nintendo exclusively revealed some of the creative ideas for spacecraft that Mossdeep Space Center could be launching. These were: Evolutionary Stone Probe (ESP), to study the effects of zero-gravity on evolution-inducing items; Manned Moon Mission (M3), a mission to the Moon with astronauts (who supposedly own Porygon, Porygon2, and Porygon-Z); and Pokémon Space Station, a space station which will eventually become available to trainers.

These are just a few of the ideas.
