The fact that it searches for a {{ct|Colorless}} Evolution card is likely related to the fact that most of the Pokémon that evolve by way of the Moon Stone in the games are {{type|Normal}}s, and in the TCG, Colorless-type.

Trivia

This card and Fossil Excavation are the only Trainer cards from all three Expansion Sheet series not to have a rarity.

Origin

The Moon Stone is an Evolution stone in the Pokémon games that allows certain species of Pokémon to evolve. Of the four Generation I Pokémon capable of evolving from exposure to the Moon Stone, two are represented in the Original Series by the Colorless type: Clefairy and Jigglypuff, hence the likely reasoning behind the card's effect.
