Release information

This card was made exclusively for the Template:Card GB for the Game Boy Color, never printed as an actual card in any language. However, a scan of the non existent full card was included in a Pokémon card Price Guide.

Surprisingly, there is the Rocket's Moltres card in the Gym Heroes expansion that features vary similar artwork.

Trivia

  • This card displays a 'GB' symbol in place of the Expansion symbol, indicating it was created exclusively for the Game Boy.
  • This is one of the four Legendary Cards, which are central to the plot of Template:Card GB, and its sequel Template:Card GB 2.
  • This card uses the same stock Sugimori art of Moltres that was previously used on the promotional phone card print of Moltres.

Origin

Dive Bomb's Japanese name is a spelling error of the Japanese name of Sky Attack, a move in the Pokémon games that Moltres can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Yellow, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue.
