Misty's Corsola (Japanese: カスミのサニーゴ Kasumi's Sunnygo) was the only Pokémon that Misty caught in the Johto region, and her eighth overall.

Original series

Corsola and Misty

Misty was determined to catch a Corsola after meeting Professor Elm's Corsola in Around the Whirlpool. In A Corsola Caper!, the group met a family in Megi City who raised Corsola to make jewelry out of their shed horns. However, a wild Corsola came along and invaded the nests looking for a friend, causing the other Corsola in the area to flee. Eventually, all of the Corsola were recovered and Misty caught the wild Corsola with the Lure Ball she received from Kurt.

Corsola in the Whirl Cup

Corsola participated in the Whirl Cup tournament shortly after its capture. It was first used in Octillery The Outcast to help a young Trainer by the name of Marcellus train his Remoraid. He defeated Corsola and caused Remoraid to evolve into an Octillery. Later, Corsola defeated a Seaking, advancing Misty past the preliminary round.

In Dueling Heroes, Corsola was used in Misty's first round battle against Harrison and his Qwilfish. Corsola took a lot of damage in the battle, but eventually, Qwilfish used Take Down and got itself trapped in Corsola's horns. Corsola then fired a close-range Spike Cannon, knocking Qwilfish out. In The Perfect Match!, Corsola was called out in the third round to battle Trinity and her Gyarados, who had defeated Poliwhirl earlier. Corsola started off countering an attack with Mirror Coat, but it backfired this time when Gyarados fired Hyper Beam and overpowered Corsola's attack. Corsola dived under the water and fired Spike Cannon, which knocked Gyarados out. Trinity next sent out Chinchou. Due to Corsola being tired from the last battle and being confused by Chinchou's Confuse Ray, it was quickly defeated, knocking Misty out of the tournament.

In Espeon, Not Included, Corsola was used in a battle against Sakura and her Espeon. The battle started off with a collision of Tackle attacks. Espeon then went in for a Quick Attack. Espeon quickly got the favor of the battle, but Corsola, on the other hand, used Recover and followed up with Spike Cannon, seizing a win for Misty. It was later used to battle Team Rocket, alongside Espeon, to rescue Sakura's sisters' Pokémon.

In Just Add Water, Corsola was used to challenge Dorian, the Leader of the Coastline Gym. Corsola was initially overwhelmed by Dorian's Mantine using its speed to attack and dodge all of Corsola's moves. Misty had Corsola use Recover, which allowed Corsola to get enough strength to hit Mantine with its Spike Cannon and Tackle, knocking it out.

Corsola and Misty winning the Tour de Alto Mare

In Pokémon Heroes: Latios & Latias, Corsola was Misty's choice to participate in the Tour de Alto Mare, in a very tight dispute and technically almost tying with Ross's Wailmer, Corsola managed to win when the competition commission analyzed the results.

In Cerulean Blues, Corsola was used to defend the Cerulean Gym from a challenge by the Invincible Pokémon Brothers. Corsola initially battled against Kim's Tentacruel before the other brothers sent in their own Tentacruel, making it a three-against-one. Corsola was unable to withstand their onslaught, though it won by default due to the Pokémon Brother's cheating.

In The Blue Badge of Courage, Misty used Corsola in her Gym battle against Sakura and her Espeon. Espeon started off with a Tackle that made a direct hit. Corsola hit back with Spike Cannon, which Espeon dodged by jumping into the water. Espeon jumped out with a Swift attack, hitting Corsola hard. Corsola used Recover and then hit Espeon with a Tackle. Espeon jumped off the wall, and dodged the Spike Cannon that Corsola sent at it. Espeon then used Tackle, followed by Psybeam, knocking out Corsola, making Sakura the winner.

Corsola was also used during a battle against Georgio's Delcatty in A Date With Delcatty. The battle started with Delcatty hitting Corsola with Double-Edge, but Corsola countered quickly with a Tackle attack. Then Delcatty used another Double-Edge and proceeded to use Iron Tail while dodging Spike Canon in the process. Delcatty later used Double Team to disorient Corsola, rendering its Spike Canon unsuccessful before using Ice Beam to land another hit. Despite this, Misty was able to turn things around by commanding Corsola to use Recover to heal itself. After that, Corsola used a combination of Spike Canon and Tackle to knock Delcatty out, leaving Misty as the winner of the battle.

In Luvdisc is a Many Splendored Thing!, Corsola performed as a part of Daisy's water ballet.

Corsola often tackles others when trying to be friendly

In The Princess and the Togepi, Misty brought Corsola with her during her trip to the Mirage Kingdom in Hoenn. When Misty, Max, and May were confronted by Colonel Hansen's Shedinja, Misty had Corsola use Spike Cannon against it, which had no effect due to its Wonder Guard Ability. Shedinja then used Solar Beam to send the group flying.

Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon

In Alola, Alola!, Corsola accompanied Misty to Alola. It was sent out to check out the jewelry on offer in a jewelry shop, but it became scared upon seeing the Corsola branches on sale.

Personality and characteristics

Corsola has a joyous personality, much like Misty's Togepi. It is also very sociable, and has a good relationship with Misty, as well as her other Pokémon. Corsola has a particularly powerful Tackle, but it often rams other Pokémon when trying to be friendly.
