The next move made by the user of this move will not miss even if the target has used a move similar to {{m|Fly}}. However, if the target uses a move such as {{m|Detect}} and {{m|Protect}}, the user's next move will miss. If the target switches out, the effect of Mind Reader wears off. Mind Reader will not make Ghost-type Pokémon able to be hit with Normal- or Fighting-type moves.
The next move made by the user of this move against the target will not miss, even if the target uses a {{cat|Moves with a semi-invulnerable turn|move with a semi-invulnerable turn}} like {{m|Fly}}. If the target switches out, the effect of Mind Reader wears off. This can be {{m|Baton Pass}}ed.

Mind Reader does not allow the user to bypass {{cat|protection moves}}.

Mind Reader's accuracy is 100%.

===Generation IV===
===Generation IV===
Mind Reader's accuracy is changed from 100 to being exempt from an accuracy check.
Mind Reader now bypasses {{stat|accuracy}} checks to always hit, unless the opponent is in the {{cat|Moves with a semi-invulnerable turn|semi-invulnerable turn}} of a move such as {{m|Dig}} or {{m|Fly}}.

Mind Reader (Japanese: こころのめ Mind's Eye) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Generations II and III

The next move made by the user of this move against the target will not miss, even if the target uses a move with a semi-invulnerable turn like Fly. If the target switches out, the effect of Mind Reader wears off. This can be Baton Passed.

Mind Reader does not allow the user to bypass protection moves.

Mind Reader's accuracy is 100%.

Generation IV

Mind Reader now bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the opponent is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly.
