Member Card

The Member Card (Japanese: メンバーズカード Member's Card) is a key item available in Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. It is only obtainable through a Nintendo Event. The Member Card allows players to enter the Harbor Inn and travel to Newmoon Island, where Darkrai can be obtained. Before the player may enter the Habor Inn, they must first meet Cresselia, obtain the Lunar Wing, and use it to dispel the nightmares Darkrai inflicts on the Sailor's son.

Trivia

  • In the Member Card's description, it says that the last date marked on it was 50 years ago. On the official artwork, it is labeled "1958.12.1", exactly 50 years before the first Japanese distribution.
  • When receiving it from the man in the Poké Mart, it will display its name as "Member's Card", though in the bag, it is simply "Member Card".
  • Strangely, the door will not open when used a second time. This is most likely due to there is no mirage created by Darkrai to "open" the door.
