Biology
Physiology
Meditite is a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a person meditating. It usually sits in a yoga position, with knees bent and feet together with its hands resting on its knees. Its lower body is blue, with white on the wrists, feet, and lower body. Its onion-shaped head is also white with large eyes and pink ovals on its cheeks. It has round, swirled ears on the sides of its head. These ears are higher up on a male than on a female.
Meditite, in reference to its name, resembles a person meditating, sitting with knees bent and feet together with its hands resting on its knees. It also resembles a certain yoga position. Its lower body is blue, with white on the wrists, feet, and what seems to be pants, or possibly a diaper. Its head is also white, with an onion-like shape and large ears. Its eyes are large and seem to be focused.
Gender differences
A male's ears are higher up than a female's.

Special abilities
Meditite heightens its inner energy and spiritual power through meditation, which also allows it to levitate. It trains hours a day and never skips its daily yoga training. Meditite's training never ends, since it constantly loses concentration and focus while meditating. It eats one berry per day as part of training, which tempers its spirit and makes its senses sharper. It lives and trains on the List of Pokémon by habitat.
Its meditation gives it inner strength and spiritual power. It also is able to endure long periods without eating.

Behavior
Meditite and its evolved form, Medicham, are the only known Pokémon that can have Pure Power as an Ability.
They are very focused in their practices of meditation and yoga, and seem to be very spiritual Pokémon as well.

Habitat
Evolution
Meditite evolves into Medicham.
Meditite are native to the mountains of Sinnoh, but can also be found in mountanous parts of Hoenn.  There have also been sightings inside temples in Johto.

Diet
Name origin
Name origin
Meditite's name is a corruption of meditate and possibly a corruption of tyke. It may also be a corruption of the word tight, as in the phrase tight focus. Asanan is most likely a corruption of asana, which in yoga refers to a pose or posture.
Meditite may be a combination of meditate and petite or tyke. It may also involve tight as in tight focus.

Asanan may be derived from asana (body posture in yoga) and possibly 軟 nan (soft, flexible).

Meditite (Japanese: アサナン Asanan) is a dual-type Fighting/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation III.

It evolves into Medicham starting at level 37.

Biology

Meditite is a humanoid, bipedal Pokémon that resembles a person meditating. It usually sits in a yoga position, with knees bent and feet together with its hands resting on its knees. Its lower body is blue, with white on the wrists, feet, and lower body. Its onion-shaped head is also white with large eyes and pink ovals on its cheeks. It has round, swirled ears on the sides of its head. These ears are higher up on a male than on a female.

It lives and trains on the mountains.

Meditite and its evolved form, Medicham, are the only known Pokémon that can have Pure Power as an Ability.

Evolution

Meditite evolves into Medicham.

Trivia

  • In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Meditite is obtainable via the Sinnoh Sound even though it was introduced in Generation III. However, it appears in the Sinnoh Pokédex.
  • Like its evolution Medicham, Meditite is one of the few Pokémon whose official artwork shows the female form.
    • In Generation III, before the introduction of gender differences, all Meditite and Medicham had the appearance of a female regardless of gender.
  • Meditite has the lowest base HP stat of all Fighting-type Pokémon.
  • Meditite's normal and Shiny colorations are opposites of those of its evolution Medicham. Meditite's normal coloration is mainly blue, while its Shiny coloration is mainly pink, whereas Medicham is pink and blue, respectively.

Origin

Meditite appears to have been based on a practitioner of yoga and is meditating in almost all of the media it appears in. Its yoga position in its artwork and sprites is the Lotus position, where one crosses one's legs and places their feet on the opposing thighs. This position supposedly holds the mind completely steady for long periods of time and calms it, heightening the user's senses. Its hat somewhat resembles a turban and may also be the caps worn by many depictions of Hindu deities, such as Shiva, who are commonly seen meditating.

Name origin

Meditite may be a combination of meditate and petite or tyke. It may also involve tight as in tight focus.

Asanan may be derived from asana (body posture in yoga) and possibly 軟 nan (soft, flexible).
