Me First (Japanese: さきどり Take in Advance) is a Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
If the target has not made its move this turn, Me First copies any damage-dealing move that the target is about to use and increases the power by 50%. It bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the opponent is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly. Me First will fail if the target uses a non-damaging move, or if the target already executed its move this turn.
If the target is about to recharge from a move like Frenzy Plant this turn, Me First will copy the move. If a consecutively executed move like Outrage is copied, it will force the user of Me First to use the move for several turns. Me First is unable to copy Struggle, Chatter, Covet, Thief, Focus Punch, Shell Trap, Beak Blast, Counter, Mirror Coat, Metal Burst, or moves called by other moves.
If powered up by a Normalium Z into Z-Me First, the user's Speed stat rises by two stages. Additionally, the copied move will become its corresponding Z-Move.
