Max (AG049)

Max (Japanese: マサト Masato) is a character of the day from Maxxed Out. He is a doppelgänger of Max and happens to share the same name (both in English and Japanese) as well as character design. His English voice actress is Amy Birnbaum and his Japanese voice actress is Romi Paku.

He started to comment how energetic May's Skitty was and that only a skilled Trainer can handle one like that. The blue-haired Max replied that he already knew that. Nurse Joy told Max to duke it out, making both Maxes confused, as she did not yet know that the two were named Max.

The two started to bicker again but Joy soon broke it up, making blue-haired Max go down to the lake. Later, when May and Max were looking after a wild Surskit, brown-haired Max approaches them and another fight starts. Ash and Brock approach them, making the brown-haired Max spit another smart-aleck comment at his counterpart and starting another fight.

Brock then says they shall release their Pokémon, and May and Ash agree. Blue-haired Max says he gets to see them every day, and that his father is a Gym Leader, making the other Max impressed.

May shows off Skitty to Treecko and Pikachu. Soon thereafter, Team Rocket jumps from the bushes and surprises everyone. After their mecha explodes, leaving Team Rocket flying in the air, the two Maxes become friends. The brown-haired one intends to train his new friend Surskit hard, and one day become a Pokémon Trainer.
