History

Battling Kai

He, along with Kai and Allegra, challenged Ash and his friends to a battle. He went up against Ash using his Torterra, while Ash used his Pikachu, who made a folly by commanding a Thunderbolt on Maury's Torterra—likely not realizing it is Grass/Ground—and then switched to Iron Tail.

According to the end credits, Maury also participated in the Alamos Town Contest, where he was subsequently defeated by Kai in the Battle Stage. He is not on stage when Allegra receives her winning Ribbon.
