Mat Block (Japanese: たたみがえし Mat Block) is a non-damaging Fighting-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is one of the signature moves of Greninja.

Effect

Mat Block protects all Pokémon on the user's side of the field from any moves except status moves. Unlike Protect, this move is not an increased priority move.

Description

Games Description
Using a pulled-up mat as a shield, the user protects itself and its allies from damaging moves. This does not stop status moves.
