Mat

A mat is a type of item exclusive to Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald used to decorate the player's Secret Base. They seem to be the Generation III equivalents of carpets.

Small Mats

These eleven mats have special effects when the player steps on them:

• E Note Mat - plays E note - File:Pokébuck sign.gif500
• F Note Mat - plays F note - File:Pokébuck sign.gif500
• G Note Mat - plays G note - File:Pokébuck sign.gif500
• A Note Mat - plays A note - File:Pokébuck sign.gif500
• B Note Mat - plays B note - File:Pokébuck sign.gif500
• C High Note Mat - plays C note - File:Pokébuck sign.gif500
• Glitter Mat - glitters - File:Pokébuck sign.gif2000
• Jump Mat - makes you jump in place - File:Pokébuck sign.gif2000
• Spin Mat - makes you spin in place - File:Pokébuck sign.gif2000

Large Mats

These seven mats each have a design based off a move and can hold up to five dolls or cushions:
