(Japanese: マナフィ Manaphy) is a new Generation IV Pokémon to appear in the movie Pokémon Ranger and the Prince of the Sea: Manaphy.

Manaphy is not directly obtainable in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The egg required for unlocking it in the games must be traded from Pokémon Ranger, where it is found by means of a special event called W-Mission.

Manaphy's height is 0.3 meters (1') and its weight is 1.4 kilograms (3 lbs.).

Name Origin

Manaphy's name might be derived from the word manatee.

People have been saying that Manaphy looks like a Chao from the "Sonic the Hedgehog" series.

Other Information

  • Manaphy has a new Special Ability named "Moist Body," which allows it to be cured of all Special Conditions when it's raining
  • Manaphy knows a new attack called "Heart Swap." This allows the user to swap Special Conditions with the opponent.
