Diamond & Pearl: Majestic Dawn is the name given to the fifth expansion of cards of the Diamond & Pearl era of the Trading Card Game.
Information
Majestic Dawn, whose named is based on the Dawn Dash subset of Moonlit Pursuit/Dawn Dash, and completes the transition of this set into English-language sets. The set contains the remaining 38 cards from Moonlit Pursuit/Dawn Dash (those not in Great Encounters), many (if not all) cards from the Japanese 2008 Entry Pack DX, a selection of Japanese promo cards as of yet unreleased in English, and possibly several cards from the fifth Japanese Diamond & Pearl set.
In order for the fifth Japanese set, Cry from the Mysterious/Temple of Anger, to be released closer to the release of the eleventh Pokémon movie (Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin), the set was delayed by three months, making a six-month gap between DP4 and DP5 in Japan. In order to prevent such a large gap in the English-language releases, six Diamond & Pearl sets are to be released in these territories, splitting up Japan's DP4 and DP5 (both over 140 cards in size) into English sets Great Encounters (106 cards), Majestic Dawn (100 cards) and DP6.
