Magma Armor (Japanese: マグマのよろい Magma Armor) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Only three Pokémon have this ability, all of them Template:Type2.
Effect
In battle
Magma Armor prevents freezing.
Outside of battle
In Pokémon Emerald and all subsequent games, it also halves the number of steps it takes for an egg to hatch. Both the Pokémon with Magma Armor and the egg must be in the party in order for this to work. Flame Body also has a similar effect.
