Magician (Japanese: マジシャン Magician) is an Ability introduced in Generation VI. Five Pokémon can have this Ability, but only Hoopa could obtain this Ability as a non-Hidden Ability.

Effect

In battle

When a Pokémon with Magician hits another Pokémon with a move, it will steal the held item of the Pokémon that it hit. Future Sight and Doom Desire do not activate the Ability. It cannot be used to steal a Griseous Orb from Giratina, a Plate from a Pokémon with Multitype, a Drive from Genesect, or a Mega Stone from a Pokémon that can Mega Evolve using it.

Outside of battle

It is unknown if Magician has an effect outside of battle.
