This card was released in the English {{TCG|Base Set}}, first originating from the Japanese {{TCG|Expansion Pack}}. Before the Base Set's official release, it was included in the {{TCG|Trainer Deck A}} given to prototype {{TCG|Pokémon League}}s. All cards in this deck have a red border and "Trainer Deck A" printed on the back. It was reprinted in the Squirtle Deck of the Japanese {{TCG|Intro Pack}} and in the English {{TCG|Base Set 2}} expansion.

This card was released in the English Base Set, first originating from the Japanese Expansion Pack. Before the Base Set's official release, it was included in the Trainer Deck A given to prototype Pokémon Leagues. All cards in this deck have a red border and "Trainer Deck A" printed on the back. It was reprinted in the Squirtle Deck of the Japanese Intro Pack and in the English Base Set 2 expansion.
