This is a list of all key items that are found in Generation I. Please note that all of these are also part of the list of key items in Generation III due to Pokémon Red and Green being remade, and several appear in multiple generations.

Effect: Opens doors in Silph Co.					Locations RBY Silph Co. 5F.
Description Stad The security card key for opening doors in a certain building.

Effect: Holds up to 9999 coins for use at the Rocket Game Corner.					Locations RBY Received from a man in Celadon City's restaurant.

Effect: Take to the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island to obtain a revived Kabuto.					Locations RBY Defeat the Super Nerd on B2F of Mt. Moon. The player has a choice between either this fossil or the Helix Fossil.

Effect: Deliver to Professor Oak to receive a Pokédex.					Locations RBY Viridian City Poké Mart.
Description Stad A parcel from a Pokémon Mart for delivery to Prof. Oak.

Description Stad An item that makes ghosts clearly distinguishable.

Effect: Displays a map of the Kanto region.					Locations RBY Pallet Town, given to the player by Daisy Oak.
Description Stad A map of the local area. It identifies your present location.
