List of in-game event Pokémon (X and Y)
This is a list of Pokémon obtainable from events found in the Generation VI Pokémon games. These specific instances of Pokémon can only be obtained once per game; however, some may also be obtained in other ways as well. In addition, some Pokémon, such as Rotom, and Banette have a chance of being found in trash cans around the Kalos region on a weekly basis.
Pokémon X and Y
Starters
Once the player has reached Aquacorde Town and has chosen a nickname, Tierno presents the player with the choice of three starter Pokémon the player can choose from.

Once the player has reached Lumiose City, they will be able to battle Professor Sycamore, after he is defeated, he will ask the player to choose one of the Generation I starters to keep. These starters holding their respective Mega Stone, which allows them to Mega Evolve once the player has obtained the Mega Ring. Charmander holds the Charizardite X in X version and Charizardite Y in Y version, Bulbasaur holds the Vensuaurite and Squirtle holds the Blastoisinite.

Snorlax
Upon reaching Route 7, the player will notice there is a Snorlax blocking his/her access, however after retrieving the Poké Flute from Parfum Palace, the sleeping Snorlax can be awakened and battled.

Lucario
After defeating Korrina at her gym, she will immediately invite the player to a rematch atop the Tower of Mastery. There, Korrina gives the player the Mega Ring. After the player has obtained the Mega Ring, the Lucario that showed affection to the player throughout the game temporarily joins their team, after having a one-on-one battle, using just Lucario holding the Lucarionite, the player will have the option of choosing whether or not the Lucario they used joins them if Korrina is defeated.

Lapras
Upon reaching Route 12, the player may speak to a trainer near the gate and he will tell you the story about the Lapras that once saved his life. He will then offer it to the player for safe-keeping as he tells the player he is no longer able to look after it. This Lapras appears on the overworld while surfing.

Xerneas
Once the player has reached Team Flare's Secret HQ in Geosenge Town, they will encounter a trapped Xerneas (in X version). After defeating Team Flare, the player will then be able to battle Xerneas. If Xerneas is defeated, it will immediately respawn again.

Yveltal
Once the player has reached Team Flare's Secret HQ in Geosenge Town, they will encounter a trapped Yveltal (in Y version). After defeating Team Flare, the player will then be able to battle Yveltal. If Yveltal is defeated, it will immediately respawn again.

Zygarde

Mewtwo
Before the player has defeated the Elite 4 and upon reaching Pokémon Village, the player will notice a man blocking the entrance to a cave, however, after defeating the Elite 4, the man has gone and the player may access the cave. Inside the cave the player will encounter Mewtwo. Upon being caught, you will receive the Mega Stone required for Mewtwo to Mega Evolve. Mewtwonite X in X version and Mewtwonite Y in Y version.
