Light Pokémon (TCG)

Light Pokémon were only seen in the Neo-Destiny deck "Light" and Neo-Destiny booster packs released in 9th March 2001 (Japanese version) and 28th Feburary 2002 (English version). Such cards include Light Dragonite and Light Machamp. Light pokémon were made to be the opposites of Dark Pokémon and revive the age-old battle of light over dark.

After this release Light Pokémon disappeared. The most likely explanation is that it didn't catch on, so when Nintendo took over production of the Pokemon TCG they never re-appeared.
