Leaf Blade (move)

Leaf Blade (Japanese: リーフブレード Leaf Blade) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation III. In that generation, it was the signature move of Grovyle and Sceptile.

Effect

Generation III

Leaf Blade inflicts damage and has an increased critical hit ratio.

Leaf Blade has a base power of 70 in this generation.

Generation IV

The effects of Leaf Blade are the same as the previous generation; however, its base power increases from 70 to 90.

Pokémon

Grovyle. When Grovyle uses Leaf Blade the three leaves on its forearms combine into one long sharp blade with a green glow.

• Used by Ash's Grovyle from Exploud and Clear to Exploud.

Sceptile Sceptile's two leaves on its arm glow green.

• Used by Ash's Sceptile from Cutting the Ties that Bind! to Once More with Reeling.
