Template:Infobox town Lavaridge Town (Japanese: フエンタウン Fuen Town) is a small, pretty town in central Hoenn. It is located on the southern foot of Mt. Chimney. The town's motto is "Pokémon Center Hot Springs An Excellent Place for Relaxing!"
Pokémon Trainers often come to Lavaridge Town in order to win the Heatbadge from Flannery, the Lavaridge Gym Leader who specializes in Fire-type Pokémon.
North of the town is the Jagged Pass, leading down from Mt. Chimney. East of the town is Route 112.

An old woman will tell you that bringing certain types of Pokémon into the bath will cause lava baths, electric baths and such. This will not happen however.
Pokémon Herb Shop
"Bitter taste - better cure!" The Herb Shop sells four different types of herbal medicine. The herbs are extremely bitter and will cause a Pokémon's Happiness to decrease when used. An old man inside of the shop will give the player Charcoal.

Demographics
The population of Lavaridge Town is 23. This low number is probably due, in part, to Lavaridge's location high up in the mountains. It is probably based on Aso City in Mount Aso region in Kumamoto on Kyushu island given its hot spring and volcano references.
Name origin
Lavaridge comes from lava, molten rock expelled from a volcano, and ridge, a raised land formation commonly associated with volcanic activity.
