Kosaku Anakubo has two pet cats, Chinmi and Aiya. There are many references to his cats' names in early chapters of the manga.
The first Pokémon manga in the works was Kousaku Anakubo's classical gag manga, ''Pocket Monsters''. The manga later became the most famous Pokémon story in all of Japan. It was constantly featured in [[CoroCoro]] (COCO) as the volumes were released. Kosaku Anakubo (穴久保幸作 Anakubo Kosaku), born April 18th, 1957, is the creator of the manga series Pokémon Pocket Monsters and its sequels: Pokémon Ruby-Sapphire, Pocket Monsters DP, Pocket Monsters HGSS, Pocket Monsters BW and Pocket Monsters XY.
