Klutz (Japanese: ぶきよう Clumsy) is an Ability introduced in Generation IV. Seven Pokémon can have this Ability. Prior to Generation V, it was the signature Ability of Buneary and Lopunny.

Effect

Klutz prevents the effects of the held item of the Pokémon with this Ability.

Klutz does not affect items which affect prize money, experience or effort values, such as the Amulet Coin, Lucky Egg or Power Weight. The speed drop from the Iron Ball is not negated by Klutz. It has no effect on the Soothe Bell or Everstone.

It has no effect outside of battle, so items such as the Cleanse Tag and Scarves are not affected.
