Kimmy Shoney

Kimmy Shoney (Japanese: ショウギ・ケイマ Keima Shōgi) is a character of the day who appeared in Showdown at Linoone. He lives on Giban Island with his parents, Korben and Harmony.

Kimmy was upset when he met Ash and his friends. His Linoone, Tokin, had been stealing round objects for no obvious reason, including Poké Balls that contained two of May's Pokémon.

The young boy couldn't figure out what was going on with his Pokémon until Team Rocket tried to steal Pikachu, and Linoone chased after the balloon. Kimmy then remembered how he and Tokin used to play catch before it evolved, and that it was just trying to have some fun. Once Pikachu was saved, May's Poké Balls were recovered, and rings belonging to Kimmy's parents were found safely. Kimmy promised to pay more attention to his Pokémon and to start playing with it again.

Kimmy's Linoone first appeared when it stole May's Beautifly and Bulbasaur's Poké Balls. It also knocked over Ash as he was about to start training. Using his Pokédex, he discovered what it was. They visited the Shoney household to see if they had seen a Linoone and it was revealed that it is Kimmy's, named Tokin (Japanese: トキンちゃん Tokin-chan).

It was revealed that Tokin has an obsession with round objects and has a large collection in its shed. They looked inside for May's Poké Balls but were unable to find them. Tokin used to be a Zigzagoon and it would play fetch with Kimmy, using its Poké Ball, but it took things too far. The group looked around the forest and in trees to try to find May's Poké Balls. Team Rocket decided they would steal Tokin for the Boss.

Suddenly, Tokin was spotted with May's Poké Balls in its mouth, but was immediately captured by Team Rocket. Kimmy tried to save Tokin but was badly hurt. Pikachu used Iron Tail to break the net, but Team Rocket captured Pikachu too. Linoone however targeted at Team Rocket's balloon, as it is round, and was able to save Pikachu and send Team Rocket blasting off. Kimmy decided to spend more time with Tokin from now on, making Tokin happy.

Tokin's known moves are Water Pulse and Thunderbolt, and its Ability is Pickup.
